ByteBench exists for one reason: to help you spend your money and your time on technology that genuinely earns it.
We are a team of developers, PC builders, gamers and long-time gadget obsessives who got tired of reviews that read like rewritten press releases. Every keyboard, GPU, smart plug, phone and software subscription we cover is judged the same way you would use it: on a real desk, on a real network, over real weeks of daily use.
How we test
Each product goes through a documented testing process built for its category. Hardware is benchmarked with repeatable workloads, battery claims are checked against real-world use, and smart home devices are run side by side on the same Wi-Fi, Thread and Matter setups. Software and SaaS tools are used on live projects, not five-minute demos. When we score something, we show our work: the specs, the conditions and the trade-offs.
Our editorial independence
Brands do not buy our opinions. Manufacturers never see a review before it is published, and they cannot pay for a better score, a placement in a “best of” list or the removal of criticism. When a company sends us a review unit, we say so. When we earn a commission from a retailer link, we disclose it clearly, and that commission never decides which product we recommend. If a cheaper option does the job better, we will tell you to buy the cheaper option.
Keeping it accurate
Technology changes fast, so our guides do too. We revisit buying guides regularly, note the date of every major update, and correct mistakes openly. Spotted something we got wrong, or want us to test a product? Reach out. Our readers are our only real stakeholders, and your trust is the one thing we will never trade.
